SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Eloise Zimmerman of Scott City will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Bill Dickey will officiate, with burial in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel after 6 p.m. today.
Zimmerman, 79, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at her home.
She was born Feb. 9, 1919, at Allenville, daughter of Charles Thomas and Neva Edna Preyer Deweese. She and Franklin Otis Zimmerman were married March 5, 1938, in Cape Girardeau. He died Nov. 12, 1972.
Zimmerman had been a nurse aide at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau and at Chaffee General Hospital in Chaffee.
Survivors include three sons, Kenny Zimmerman of Scott City, John Zimmerman of Wentzville, Mark Zimmerman of Chesapeake, Va.; two daughters, Willa Zimmerman of Scott City, Soundra Eifert of Arnold; a sister, Bernice Cargle of Scott City; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and six great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and five sisters.
