CHARLESTON -- Elnora R. French, 88, of Millbrae, Calif., died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1996, at Sheltering Pines Convalescent Center in Millbrae.
She was born July 7, 1907, at Cooter, daughter of Walter and Cora Grooms Reynolds. She and Aston E. French were married in 1929 at Charleston. He died in 1973.
French had lived in California three years, and previously lived in Charleston 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Toole of Millbrae; two stepsons, Earl French of Oklahoma City, Okla., Howard French of Granite City, Ill.; a sister, Elizabeth Mungle of Charleston; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
