CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Elmer R. Sevic of Charleston will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Tom Bridges will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Sevic, 81, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born June 20, 1914, in Dardanelle, Ark., son of Joseph and Annie Senkela Sevic. He and Gladys Brown were married Jan. 9, 1953.
Sevic farmed in Mississippi County most of his life, retiring in 1978. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Annie Pendergrass of Paris, Ark., and Josephine Goodall of Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
