PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elmer J. Schnurbusch, 92, of Perryville died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at Independence Care Center.
He was born July 1, 1917, at Biehle, Mo., son of Benjamin and Ida Leible Schnurbusch.
Mr. Schnurbusch was a farmer. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a life member of American Legion Post 133.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are three daughters, Norma Unterreiner of Perryville, Arlene Schnurbusch of Cape Girardeau, Barbara Schnurbusch of Perryville; a sister, Geraldine Lauck of Perryville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. The parish wake will be at 5:30 today, followed by American Legion service at 6:30. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery at Apple Creek, Mo., with graveside military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133 and the Delta Team.
