PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elmer S. Richardet, 80, of Perryville died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at his home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1924, in Perry County, Mo., son of John and Elsie Zahner Richardet. He and Leona Schumer were married Sept. 28, 1946, at St. Mary's Seminary.
Richardet had been a supervisor in the steel construction industry. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Holy Name Society, American Legion Post 133, and 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Carol Dobbelare, Karen Leible and Marilyn Bohnert, all of Perryville, Gayle Richardet of St. Louis; five sisters, Mildred Monier and Lindola Seabaugh of Perryville, Velda Vallecorsa of Flint, Mich., Evelyn Biehle of St. Louis, Ruby Marcinkowski of Chester, Ill.; two brothers, Elbert Richardet of Perryville, Joseph Richardet of Table Rock Lake, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. The parish wake service with Knights of Columbus will be held at 7 tonight, followed by an American Legion service at 7:30. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Revs. Kevin Fausz and Al Hoernig officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with graveside military honors conducted by American Legion Post 133.
