Elmer Pohlmann

FRIEDHEIM, Mo. -- Elmer E. Pohlmann, 90, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., formerly of Friedheim, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at Our House Senior Living in Wisconsin Rapids.

He was born Nov. 17, 1918, in Perryville, Mo., son of Henry and Louise Klaus Pohlmann. He and Erma Erdman were married June 5, 1954.

Pohlmann was an elementary teacher five years in Missouri. He was owner/operator of Elmer's and Erma's Badger Bar 16 years, retiring in 1982.

Survivors include his wife and a sister, Ida Ruessler of Jackson.

The funeral was held Dec. 12 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids.
