DUTCHTOWN -- Funeral mass for Elmer Jerome Obermann of Dutchtown will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee. The Rev. Allan Saunders will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.

Obermann, 60, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Nov. 17, 1934, at Dutchtown, son of Arthur Herman and Hermina Regina Baudendistel Obermann.

Obermann was a custodian at Southeast Missouri State University. He was a member of St. Ambrose Church and its Men's Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Obermann of St. Louis, Raymond Obermann of Chaffee; a daughter, Carol Short of Jackson; a brother, Arthur Obermann of Jackson; two sisters, Leona Friga of Springfield, Jo Ann Moore of Dutchtown; three grandchildren, and a friend, Pat O'Kelly of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
