SCOTT CITY -- Elmer "Hap" Wadlington, 83, of Scott City, died Friday, April 1, 1994 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 21, 1910, at Blodgett, son of Robert and Laura Adell Dean Wadlington.
He married the former Goldia Ilene Brooks at Fornfelt on May 5, 1934. She preceded him in death.
He had worked at Marquette Cement Co., as a store room clerk. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City.
Survivors include daughters Carole McElmurry and Jo Ann Strong, both of Scott City; brothers Elbert Wadlington, Cape Girardeau, Robert Wadlington and Fred Wadlington, both of Scott City; a sister, Elva Sander, Freeburg, Ill.; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Service will be held at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City Monday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
Friends may call at the funeral home today after 5 p.m.
