ADVANCE -- Elmer Francis Sturgeon, 80, of Advance, died Monday, July 10, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 11, 1914, at Zalma, son of Marion and Emma Kerr Sturgeon. He and Agnes Ellen Myers were married March 3, 1934.
Sturgeon was a farmer. He attended Greenbrier Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Sturgeon of Arnold, John Sturgeon of Bloomfield; three daughters, Corrine Leadbetter of Festus, Norma Moore of Marble Hill, Karen Patton of Perryville; two sisters, Veda Myers of Imperial, Ida Upton of Miami, Fla.; nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, four brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Johns officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
