SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Elmer E. Ginter of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Guffie will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.

Ginter, 85 years old, died Tuesday, April 16, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 14, 1905, at Whitewater, son of George Edward and Ida Rebecca Poston Ginter. He and the former Annie Ruth Trickey Tucker were married Oct. 11, 1943, at Benton. She died Aug. 2, 1984.

Ginter had lived in Sikeston 14 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a retired maintenance worked at Jackson R-2 Schools, and former member of American Legion Post and Masonic Lodge there. He also was a former member of VFW in Cape Girardeau. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two children, Cheryl Ginter of the home; William tucker of Carrollton, Tex.; four grandsons, Will, Bruce and Jeff Tucker of Dallas, Tex., Dr. Scott Tucker of Winston-Salem, N.C., and four great-granddaughters.
