SIKESTON -- Elmer "Boots" Watkins, 71, of Morley, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1993, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 23, 1921, at Marked Tree, Ark., son of Daniel Webster and Lucie Bell Watkins.
He married Marie Graham.
Watkins was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Bill Watkins of Nashville, Tenn., David Watkins, Danny Watkins, Elmer C. Watkins and Jimmie Dale Watkins, all of Sikeston; two daughters, Ann Holman of Bell City, Linda Hines of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jesse Watkins of Yuma, Ariz.; a sister, Madeline Murski of Portageville, Mo.; a step-brother, E.D. Brown of Jonesboro, Ark.; a step-sister, Lottie Mae Kimes of Kewanee, Mo.; 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ponder Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Breeden officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
