CAMPUS, Ill. -- Ellsworth F. "Pat" Maguire, 82, of Campus died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at OSF St. James Hospital in Pontiac, Ill.
He was born April 2, 1918, in Campus, son of Thomas P. and Lillian L. Lower Maguire. He and Margaret M. Breen were married Sept. 14, 1942, in Campus.
Maguire was a 1936 graduate of Reddick High School, and attended St. Viator College.
He worked at Caterpillar Tractor in Joliet, Ill., 24 years, retiring in 1980. He retired from farming in 1967.
Maguire was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Campus, Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge in Pontiac, and Legion of the Moose.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill Maguire of Joliet; two daughters, Mary Derr of Coal City, Ill., Martha Feeney of Jackson, Mo.; a brother, Eugene Maguire of Campus; a sister, Dorothy Dixon of Dwight, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight from 4-8 p.m. Friday, and Saturday after 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Campus.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Don Roszkowski will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
