He was born Aug. 31, 1915, in Bollinger County, Mo., son of Benton and Cora Etta Conrad Murray. He and Mabel C. Fadler Murray were married April 27, 1940. She preceded him in death Dec. 21, 1990...

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Elliott Murray, 98, of Sedgewickville passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 31, 1915, in Bollinger County, Mo., son of Benton and Cora Etta Conrad Murray. He and Mabel C. Fadler Murray were married April 27, 1940. She preceded him in death Dec. 21, 1990.

Elliott was a farmer. He was a member of Whitewater Presbyterian Church and Westview Lodge No. 103 AF & AM in Millersville.

Survivors include one daughter and one son; Connie (Bob) Castor and Stan Murray, both of Sedgewickville; one son-in-law, Charles Galea of Morrison, Colo.; one sister, Bertha Hudson of Perryville, Mo.; one grandson; six stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one daughter, Linda Murray Galea; four brothers, Lester, Clyde, Carroll and Ben Murray; and three sisters, Florence Barber, Audell Holland and Bonnie Guyot.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. provided by Westview Lodge No. 103 AF & AM Visitation will continue from 6:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Blaylock officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials are preferred to Whitewater Presbyterian Church.
