Ellen Jones

CHAFFEE, Mo. — Ellen Louise Jones, 57, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 8, 1959, in Belleville, Illinois, to the late William and Margaret Covert Jones.

She loved all kinds of crafts and staying up on the latest Facebook happenings. But her most important interest was her family, especially grandkids and great-grandson.

Ellen worked as a hospice nurse-aide for Crown Hospice in Cape Girardeau for six years. She worked as a supervisor at Genesis Home Health in Cape Girardeau for five years.

Survivors are a son, James (Hannah) Jones of Chaffee; two daughters, Rebecca (Terry) Stephens and Sherri (Dustin Recar) Berry, both of Chaffee; two brothers, Daniel and Robert Jones of Chaffee; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Friends may join a celebration of life after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ottis Long officiating.
