Ella Margruett Taylor, 99 years, 9 months and 22 days, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Heartland Care and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau. Ella was born Oct. 6, 1914, at Bertrand, Missouri, to the late William and Laura Bradley Parker. She was a 1933 graduate of Dexter High School. On Dec. 17, 1939, she married Lloyd Harold Taylor. Ella Margruett Taylor, 99 years, 9 months and 22 days, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Heartland Care and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.

Ella was born Oct. 6, 1914, at Bertrand, Missouri, to the late William and Laura Bradley Parker.

She was a 1933 graduate of Dexter High School. On Dec. 17, 1939, she married Lloyd Harold Taylor. He preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1984.

Together Mr. and Mrs. Taylor operated Taylor's Bakery in Chaffee, Missouri, from 1947 until 1973. She also worked at the Associated Natural Gas Co. until her retirement in 1979.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee. She was a member and served as Worthy Matron of the Chaffee Order of the Easter Star Chapter 48. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chaffee American Legion Post.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating. Burial will be in Dexter City Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.
