Ella Schiwitz

BENTON, Mo. -- Ella Dean Schiwitz, 81, of Benton died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at her home.

She was born March 30, 1933, in Damascus, Arkansas, to Lee Irvin and Alpha Bryant Freeman. She and Henry Martin Schiwitz were married Sept. 20, 1952.

Ella was a member of Morley Church of Christ in Morley, Missouri.

Survivors include her husband, Henry; two sons, Richard Schiwitz of New Hamburg, Missouri, and John (Ronda) Schiwitz of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Debbie Schiwitz Grogan and Janet Schiwitz of Benton; a sister, Margie Grant of Benton; eight grandchildren, Josh, Jesse, Callie, Katie, Paxton, Megan, Alexus and Noah; and six great-grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Brylie, Ali-Shae, Dade and Amelia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Odis and Ulyess Freeman; and a sister, Karen Davis.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service today at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at the chapel, with Bill Bradley officiating.
