SCOTT CITY - Former businesswoman Ella Jane Ferriell, 97, of Scott City, died Saturday, Feb. 29, 1992 at El Nathan Home Inc. in Marble Hill. Ferriell owned and operated Ladies Ready Wear in Cape Girardeau and Illmo for many years. She was born in Marble Hill Mary 2, 1894 to William Bennett Yount and Mary Jane Moyers. SCOTT CITY - Former businesswoman Ella Jane Ferriell, 97, of Scott City, died Saturday, Feb. 29, 1992 at El Nathan Home Inc. in Marble Hill.

Ferriell owned and operated Ladies Ready Wear in Cape Girardeau and Illmo for many years.

She was born in Marble Hill Mary 2, 1894 to William Bennett Yount and Mary Jane Moyers. On June 20, 1953 she married Joseph Roy Ferriell, who proceeded her in death.

Surviving are daughters Mildred Buchiccio of Perris, Calif. and Mary Ann McEwing of Scott City; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, preceding her in death were a daughter and son.

Ferriell belonged to the Broadway United Methodist Church and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Scott City, as well as the Eastern Star and White Shrine in Cape Girardeau.

Visitation will be held today at 2 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Eastern Star will hold a service at 7:30 p.m.

The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Broadway United Methodist Church in Scott City. Charles Bollinger and the Rev. Bruce Edwards will officiate.

Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
