BLODGETT, Mo. -- Ella Virginia Deason, 72, of Blodgett died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born March 13, 1931, in Fayette, Ala., daughter of James William and Odessa Mae White Gardner. She and Walter David "Dub" Deason were married Dec. 9, 1960.
Deason was a member of Sixth Street Trinity Chapel.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Walter Deason III of Virginia, Ronald Deason of St. Clair, Mo., Phillip Deason of Blodgett; two daughters, Ella Marks of Hillsboro, Mo., and Hope Zarro of Florissant, Mo.
Also surviving are six brothers, Robert Gardner of Sikeston, James Gardner of Columbus, Miss., Charlie Gardner of Anderson, Ind., Derrel Gardner of St. Charles, Mo., John Gardner of Smyrna, Tenn., Dale Gardner of Bowling Green, Ky.; a sister, Martha Trull of Alabama; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Robert Deason officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery.
