CHAFFEE -- Elizabeth Angeline Smith, 77, of Chaffee died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born April 27, 1922, at Perkins, daughter of Lyles Edward and Belle Irene Phegley Newlin. She and Odus Smith were married Sept. 6, 1952.
Smith had worked at Buckstein's Pants Factory, Chaffee Manufacturing Co., and Thorngate Ltd in Chaffee. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ernest Kight Jr. of Abilene, Texas, Thomas Smith of Jackson; a daughter, Ruth Hopkins of Anderson, S.C.; a sister, Dorothy Fowler of Scott City; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Dr. Mark Hopkins and the Rev. Ernest Kight Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
