Elizabeth Shackles

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Elizabeth J. Shackles, 55, of Sikeston died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born June 27, 1950, in Greenville, Miss., daughter of Ernest Y. and Mamie Long Chan. She and Danny Shackles were married March 5, 1983.

Shackles was a 1973 graduate of the University of Mississippi College of Pharmacy. She was a registered pharmacist at Randy's Rx in Sikeston, and a member of Sikeston Community Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Daniel Shackles of Cape Girardeau, Christopher Shackles of Sikeston; a daughter, Angela Stuard of Wauseon, Ohio; two brothers, John Chan of New York, N.Y., and Ernest "Doc" Chan of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dolan Rogers officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
