ELIZABETH LOONEY

PUXICO -- Elizabeth Looney, 95, of Puxico, died Friday, April 21, 1995, at Dexter Nursing Center in Dexter.

She was born Feb. 29, 1900, in Pyatt, Ark., daughter of Ethen and Belle Hudson Tilton. She and Everett Earl Looney were married Nov. 7, 1924. He died Jan. 10, 1975.

Looney was a lifelong resident of the Puxico area, and attended the Assembly of God Church here.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Looney of Sikeston; a daughter, Juvata Powell of Puxico; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 5 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Herman Morse officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
