Elizabeth Ann Hogan, 78, of Jackson died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022. She was born April 21, 1943, in Knoxville, Iowa, to Guy F. Andrews and Elizabeth Custis Andrews. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1961. She completed a baccalaureate degree at Phillips University in 1965 with a degree in religious education and earned a master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University...

Elizabeth Ann Hogan, 78, of Jackson died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022.

She was born April 21, 1943, in Knoxville, Iowa, to Guy F. Andrews and Elizabeth Custis Andrews. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1961. She completed a baccalaureate degree at Phillips University in 1965 with a degree in religious education and earned a master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University.

Elizabeth worked in the Cape Girardeau public school system for 29 years, first as an elementary school teacher and later as a psychological examiner.

She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, where she served with the Commission on Ministry Board of Examining Chaplains for the Diocese of Missouri.

Survivors include a son, Josh (Lisa) Hogan of Mundelein, Illinois; daughter, Jessica Hogan of Lynchburg, Virginia; sister, Sue (Don) Cullers of Wellington, Colorado; two grandchildren, Henry Hogan and Rex Hogan, both of Mundelein; and 10 nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Clara Andrews Naud.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Christ Episcopal Church in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Christ Episcopal Church Endowment Fund.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
