COMMERCE, Mo. -- On Friday, May 31, 2002, Elizabeth B. Gray, 92, passed away at Lenoir Health Care in Columbia, Mo.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Lula Beardslee from Commerce. She was married to Van L. Gray, who preceded her in death while they were retired in Kimberling City, Mo.
She has a brother, John R. Beardslee, living in Hillsboro, Mo. Two brothers, Rowland and William Beardslee, both area residents, preceded her.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jablonsky from Jefferson City, Mo., and Carolyn Gist from Norfolk, Va. There are three grandsons, Frank Williams from Dallas, Texas, Christopher Gist from Richmond, Va., and Aaron Gist from Fayetteville, Ark.
Mrs. Gray attended Southeast Missouri State College and taught school prior to her marriage. She assisted with a family printing business and was active in the Methodist Church, social and community affairs in Winfield, Mo., and Kimberling City. Two of her favorite activities were singing in the church choir and playing bridge.
A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. Larry Lawman at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce on Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m., with Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Mo., handling the funeral arrangements.
The family suggests memorials to Lenoir Health Care Center, Columbia, Mo.
