EAST PRAIRIE -- Elizabeth Brown, 84, died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born March 11, 1913, at Kewanee, daughter of Thomas and Cora Robinson Owensby. She and Floyd Richard Brown were married July 6, 1935, at Kennett.
Brown had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a caseworker for the Division of Family Services office in East Prairie until her retirement. She was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Joan Winchester of East Prairie; a brother, Paul Owensby of Gasconade; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Home, with Fred Girdwood and Martin Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery near Charleston.
