Elinor Roth

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elinor B. Roth, 83, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at her home.

She was born Dec. 11, 1933, in Perryville, daughter of Ernst H. and Bertha K. Luehrs Mueller. She married Raymond M. Roth on April 25, 1953. He preceded her in death Aug. 16, 2009.

Elinor was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.

Survivors include one son and three daughters, Alan (Donna) Roth of Farrar, Donna (Dennis) Whelan of Battlefield, Missouri, Nancy (Dale) Sveom of Belton, Missouri, and Shirley (Bob) Kinder of Jackson; one brother and one sister, Armin Mueller and Florence Steffens, both of Perryville; nine grandchildren, Alison Dycus, Andrew Roth, Nick Whelan, Laura Elkins, Rebecca Heimsoth, Rachel Huwar, Sarah Sveom, Bethany Taylor and Jordan Kinder; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Dale Roth; one brother, Erwin Mueller; and six sisters, Oneida Mahnken, Thekla Mueller, Esther Bachmann, Agnes Martin, Mildred Bachmann and Eunice Roth.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred for KFUO or Salem Lutheran Church.
