Funeral for Eli Thomas James of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Johnny Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time.
James, 62, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at his home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Henderson and Ercie Green James.
James was employed by city of Cape Girardeau. He was a member of the former Holy Family Catholic Church. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Idom and Bertha James, and a brother, George James, all of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a half brother, and a half sister.
