SIKESTON -- Elgin W. Stausing, 80, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1990, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Dec. 26, 1909, at Cape Girardeau, son of Charles H. and Emma Madden Stausing.

He worked as a clerk and cashier for the Frisco Railroad Co. and attended First Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On Nov. 16, 1943, he married Lelia M. Stewart at Portageville. She survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Wanda Tedford, Sikeston; a brother, Elwood Stausing, Haines City, Fla.; two granddaughters, Evelyn Dixon, Sikeston, Wanda R. Harris, St. Louis, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Jim Guffie officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
