CAIRO, Ill. -- Eleanor Faye Riggs, 65, of Cairo died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at her home.
She was born May 9, 1940, in Ullin, Ill., daughter of Roy and Alice Brown Ledbetter. She married John Riggs.
Riggs was a member of Cairo Assembly of God Church and was a Sunday school teacher many years.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Susan Hoyle of Marion, Ill., Sharon Dickerson of Tamms, Ill., Laura McWilliams of Cairo; three sons, Johnny "Bubba" and Kenneth "Doodle" Riggs of Cairo, Tim Riggs of Monroe City, Mo.; two sisters, Peggy Franklin of Pocatello, Idaho, Barbara Stewart of Jackson; two brothers, Larry Ledbetter of Indianapolis, Ind., Gary Ledbetter of Lick Creek, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a son, a brother, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doug Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
