Eleanor Kate Niswonger, 94, of Jackson died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at Jackson Manor.
She was born Jan. 4, 1909, at Doniphan, Mo., daughter of Abraham Lincoln and Mary Frances Loftis Lorey. She and Jesse P. Niswonger Sr. were married Nov. 23, 1926. He died Jan. 3, 2001.
Niswonger worked 15 years in the packing department at International Shoe Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jesse Niswonger Jr. of Destin, Fla.; a daughter, Joann Curtis of Chesterfield, Mo.; two sisters, Dorothy Gibson of Ventura, Calif., Lily Penrod of Doniphan; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers, two sisters, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond Epps officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
