Eleanor L. Nenninger, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at her home.
She was born Oct. 24, 1934, in Leopold, Missouri, to Louis and Mary Stoverink Holzum. She and Eugene Nenninger were married June 13, 1953, in Leopold. He preceded her in death April 27, 1998.
Eleanor was a transport technician at Saint Francis Medical Center for 27 years.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and St. Vincent Council of Catholic Women. She also served as a volunteer at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna S. (Tony) Buehrle of Cape Girardeau; son, David E. (Tami) Nenninger of Jackson; sister, Judy Elfrink of Jackson; brother, Melvin Holzum of Leopold; grandchildren, Nichole, Mark, Amy, Emily, Laura, Sarah and Hannah; and great-grandchildren, Lena, Ella, Cooper and Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Virginia Elfrink and Alma Claspill; and brother, Ernest Holzum.
The family will have a private graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Christian Service or charity of choice.
