Eleanor George

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Eleanora Lee Minich George, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sikeston. She was born in Morehouse, Mo., on Aug. 6, 1917, daughter of the late Amos Seth and Beatta Fry Minich. She and William "Barney" George were married on March 15, 1937. He died April 10, 1995...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Eleanora Lee Minich George, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sikeston. She was born in Morehouse, Mo., on Aug. 6, 1917, daughter of the late Amos Seth and Beatta Fry Minich. She and William "Barney" George were married on March 15, 1937. He died April 10, 1995.

George was a retired bookkeeper at Sharp Buick and Mitchell Sharp Chevrolet. She was a member of First United Metho-dist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Holden and Nancy Byrd of Sikeston; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Harry Sharp will officiate, with burial in the Garden of Memories cemetery.
