ELDOR KOENIG

FROHNA -- Eldor E. Koenig, 86, of Frohna died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at Chester Memorial Hospital in Chester, Ill.

He was born Aug. 29, 1912, at Farrar, son of Joseph and Martha Detjen Koenig. He and Arline Petzoldt were married Feb. 15, 1942.

Koenig was an agriculture and livestock farmer. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and East Perry Fair Board, and was involved with the Soil and Water Conservation.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dale Koenig of Perryville; a daughter, Korlyn Degenhardt of St. Louis; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 4:30-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Concordia Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
