ELDERS J. DUVALL

PERRYVILLE -- Elders J. Duvall, 78, of Perryville died Friday, Feb. 2, 1996, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 4, 1918, at Silver Lake, son of Romanus and Theresa Pridemore Duvall.

He married Myrtle Marie Ochs at St. Mary on Dec. 22, 1945. She survives.

He worked as a mixer-operator at Mississippi Lime Co. for 33 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Survivors include eight sons, Ivan Duvall, Clyde Duvall, Leroy Duvall, Ronald Duvall, Dale Duvall, Jimmy Duvall and John Duvall, all of Perryville, and Wayne Duvall of Steelville, Ill.; three daughters, Erline Schindler and Mary Kiefer, both of Perryville, and Cathy Schmidt of Jackson; two sisters, Hester Phillips of Perryville and Edith Weekley of Topeka, Kan.; and 18 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Billings officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young & Sons Chapel today from 3 to 9 p.m., and from Monday 6:30 to 10:15 a.m. A parish wake will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m. today.
