ELDA FRANKLIN

PERRYVILLE -- Elda Marie Franklin, 77, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Perry County, daughter of Benjamin and Rosa Zoellner Schott. She and Carl E. "Tooter" Franklin were married Dec. 28, 1946. He died Oct. 31, 1999.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Hudson of Imperial, Sharon Schindler of Arnold, Dianne Balsman of Barnhart and Donna Schremp of Perryville; a son, Gary Franklin of St. Louis; two brothers, Chalmer Schott of Colorado and Glennon Schott of Belleville; two sisters, Rita Winkler of Perryville and Wilma Fiala of Colorado; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 9:40 a.m. Friday at the Young and Sons Chapel. Parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
