Funeral for Elbert Franklin Johnson of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Charles Lance will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Johnson, 93, died Sunday, March 28, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born May 14, 1905, son of Frank and Mary Ann Apple Johnson. He and Erma H. Hobbs were married July 25, 1925, at Bloomfield.
Johnson worked at International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau 21 years, at Standard Oil and Sears in St. Louis 10 years, and farmed at Bloomfield 32 years. He moved to Cape Girardeau from the farm in 1985.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gene and Jack Johnson of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
