PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elba M. Welker, 83, of Perryville died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 26, 1919, in Perry County, daughter of Clell A. and Emma M. Kline Gibbar. She and Robert L. Welker were married April 19, 1941, at Brewer, Mo.
Welker had worked in the office of Association of Miraculous Medal. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Dennis Welker of Parker, Colo., Gary Welker of St. Louis, James Welker of Perryville; three daughters, Carol Parkin of Denver, Colo., Jean Moll of St. Louis, Kay Weeks of Chesterfield, Mo.; a sister, Velma Huber of Perryville; a brother, Lester Gibbar of St. Peters, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30 to 10:20 a.m. The parish wake with Daughters of Isabella will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
