Elaine J. Leeman, 66, of rural Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 26, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 28, 1928, at Lincoln, Neb., the daughter of John and Amanda Schaefer Schiebinger. She was married to the Rev. Karl Leeman, who survives of the home.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville, and she taught in the Lutheran school system for many years. She also was a former Sunday school teacher, a member of the Ladies Aide and the L.W.M.L.
Other survivors include two sons, David Leeman of Gordonville and Dan Leeman of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Kathleen Hinkson of Benton, Ark., and Carol Bryan of Mansfield, Ark.; two brothers, Dr. Darrell Schiebinger of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Robert Schiebinger of Lincoln; a sister, Mavis Everett of Downey, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Louis Launhardt will officiate, and burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Gordonville.
