Mary Eileen "Cricket" Stovall, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Sunday, June 24, 2018.
She was born April 1, 1938, in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of John Henry and Mary Nell Hunter Baucum. She and Joseph Elmer "Joe" Stovall were married June 8, 1957, in Fort Worth.
Eileen grew up in Fort Worth and lived in Crowley, Texas, until moving to Missouri around 1966. She did accounting work for local companies, including Thorngate Limited of Cape Girardeau.
She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. She showed extreme love for family and had a special love of all animals.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a Cub Scout leader.
Eileen was a cancer survivor.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph Edward "Eddie" (Cindy) Stovall and William Anthony "Bill" (Kim) Stovall, both of Cape Girardeau, and John David "Dave" (Michelle) Stovall of Frederick, Maryland; four grandchildren, Brittne (Juan) Stovall of Seattle, Kassie (Kris) Brown of Jackson, Blake Stovall of Cape Girardeau and Zach (Jennifer) Stovall of Marble Hill, Missouri; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Ashlyn, Scarlett and Stella.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Christopher Tyler officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
