Eileen Nanna of Valley Park, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, March 7, 1992, at the Cedar Cross Nursing Center in Valley Park. She was 85.
She was born Aug. 24, 1906, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Charles P. Boss and Nora E. Heise Boss.
She married Melvin L. Nanna on June 5, 1926, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1986.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Catholic Church. She lived most of her life in Cape Girardeau, before moving to Valley Park in 1980.
Survivors include two sons, both of St. Louis, Melvin L. Nanna Jr. and Donald G. Nanna; one daughter, Betty Will-Bower of St. Louis; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgn. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
