Eileen Alma Kasten, 79, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. She was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William Henry and Clara Anita Grossheider Kiehne. She married Paul Rudolph Kasten, who died Feb. 29, 2004...

Eileen Alma Kasten, 79, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn.

She was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William Henry and Clara Anita Grossheider Kiehne. She married Paul Rudolph Kasten, who died Feb. 29, 2004.

Kasten was a graduate of Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis. She was a pediatric nurse in the pre-mature nursery. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Women's Missionary League in Oak Ridge.

Survivors include a son, Kim Kasten of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Susan Goebbert of Hinsdale, Ill., Jennifer Kasten of Knoxville; a brother, William Kiehne of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Viola Fisher of Perryville, Mo., and her twin Kathleen "Kit" Sievers of Hillsboro, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church from 1:15 p.m. to service time Monday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Jams P. Evers officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
