SIKESTON -- Former mayor of Bertrand, Eileen Kobes Frentrop, 89, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born July 19, 1906, in Morley, daughter of Tev and Mae Smith Griggs. She married Joseph N. Kobes Dec. 26, 1940, in St. Louis. He died in July 1947. She and Francis V. Frentrop were married Aug. 22, 1952, in Piggott, Ark. He died Jan. 9, 1986.
Frentrop was a beautician and had owned and operated Kingsway Beauty Salon in St. Louis 10 years. She lived in Bertrand 18 years, moving to Sikeston in June 1994.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 137 in Sikeston, and International Order of Grand Cross.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha McMillin of Prairie Village, Kan.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles E. Buck officiating. Burial will be in Old Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to service time.
