LEOPOLD -- Eileen E. Trankle, 70, of Leopold died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 29, 1922, at Laflin, the daughter of Fred W. and Louise Anger Elfrink. On June 22, 1946, she married August J. Trankle, who preceded her in death July 4, 1968.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Leopold and the church's Ladies Sodality. She also was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus St. Isidore Council #5898 in Leopold.
Survivors incude three sons, B. R. Glen Trankle of Leopold, Danny Trankle of Kamiah, Idaho, and Roger Trankle of Marble Hill; five daughters, Linda Voss and Margie Siebenaler, both of St. Louis, Evelyn Wille of Jackson, Bernice Georger of Oran, and Bonnie Hogue of Barnsdall, Okla.; four brothers, Donald, Raymond and Fred Elfrink, all of Leopold and Justin Elfrink of Jackson; four sisters, Agnes Trankle of Leopold, and Loretta, Rosalin and Therese Elfrink, all of St. Louis.; 27 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. today at Liley Fuenral Home in Marble Hill, where parish prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary at 8. Funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold. Father Michael Casteel will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
