Edwin "Jack" Krokroskia, 69, of Viburnum, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born June 8, 1923, in Vizincville, Okla., son of Debrow and Irene Betz Krokroskia. He and Louise Nelums were married in 1945 in Columbus, Kan.

Krokroskia received a bachelor's degree in mining engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and attended Harvard University.

He was vice president of St. Joe Minerals Corp., and later retired as vice president of the Doe Run Corp. He served in the U.S. Army 1943-45.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandra Catron of Cape Girardeau, and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Spencer Funeral Home in Viburnum. Bob Voss will officiate, with private burial following.
