Edwin Kirn

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Edwin L. "Eddie" Kirn, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

He was born July 16, 1921, at Friedheim, Mo., son of Andrew and Elizabeth Renner Kirn. He and Marcella C. Halter were married Oct. 21, 1947, at Apple Creek, Mo.

Kirn had worked at Gilster-Mary Lee and also worked 14 years at Frohna Machine Shop. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Carol Ziegler of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Janet Etzold and Mary Jane Berkbuegler of Perryville, Norma Buerck of Uniontown, Mo.; two sons, Richard and Bernard Kirn of Perryville; a sister, Lucille Wibbenmeyer of Perryville; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Monday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery at Biehle, Mo., with military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133.
