SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Edward Leon Randall, 74, of Sedgewickville died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at his home.

He was born April 28, 1935, at South Windham, Maine, son of Ernest and Evelyn Tyler Norton Randall. He and Maria Riebl were married Sept. 16, 1967, in Grafenwoehr, Germany.

He was a member of Sedgewickville Baptist Church and Perryville Masonic Lodge.

He served his country proudly in the military. He joined the ROTC program while in high school and joined the U.S. Army in 1961. He served until October 1978 when he was medically discharged due to a head injury sustained while serving in Vietnam, where he had served two tours of duty.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Randall of Sedgewickville; two daughters, Evelyn Owens of Perryville, Mo., Tanja (Eugene) Findley of Holden, Mo.; five grandchildren, Michael and Monica Owens, Kolbe, Brieanna and Hanna Findley; brother and sisters-in-law, George and Lisa Chapman and family of Sedgewickville, Michael and Jackie Riebl and family of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Liane and Ernst Lovell and family of Obervieditach, Germany; caregiver and friend, Max Sanchez and family of Sedgewickville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo. A Masonic service will be held at 10:30.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mike Dugan and the Rev. Leslie Bequette officiating. Graveside service will follow at Sedgewickville Baptist Cemetery with full military rites by Missouri Honor Guard.
