BLOOMFIELD -- Edward Henry Vandeven, 85, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, March 16, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 15, 1909, in Scotland, Texas, son of Henry and Minnie Knobie Vandeven. He and Dorothy Elfrank were married June 27, 1935.
Vandeven retired as a truck driver with Elfrank Truck Lines of Advance. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Kenneth and John Vandeven of Bloomfield, Dale Vandeven of St. Louis; two daughters, Kathleen Barr of St. Louis, Ida Rowland of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Paul Vandeven of St. Louis; a sister, Isabelle Stuckenschneider of St. Elizabeth; 24 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today. KC service will be at 8.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, with burial in the church cemetery.
