PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Edward Ben Gribler Sr., 76, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Perry County Hospital in Perryville.
He was born June 1, 1928, at Jackson, son of Ben and Grace Slinkard Gribler. He and Sally Freburger were married Jan. 28, 1949, in Baltimore, Md.
Gribler worked in construction all his life for Local 670 in O'Fallon, Ill. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Edward Gribler Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., Tracy Gribler of Chicago; two daughters, Kim Wingerter and Sandra Baker, both of Perryville; three sisters, Elsie Pochek and Dorothy Edelmann, both of Belleville, Ill.; Ruby Wilke of Jackson; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.,m. Tuesday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bass officiating. Burial will be in Crader Cemetery near Marble Hill. Full military honors will be provided by the Missouri Military Honors Team.
