GRAND CHAIN, Ill., -- Edward Glynn Grubbs, 87, of Waterford, Calif., formerly of Grand Chain, died Thursday, July 18, 1996, at his home.
He was born June 10, 1909, in Grand Chain, son of the late Charley and Kate Heisner Grubbs.
He was a retired driver and salesman for Walker Food Supply and a member of VFW Post 9679 of Waterford. He was a resident of Waterford for the past 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Grubbs, of Waterford; son Marshall Grubbs, of Pochay, Ill.; two daughters, Glenda Ruse, of San Pablo, Calif., and Pamela Grubbs, of Loomis, Calif.; two stepsons, Garry Moore, of San Ramon, Calif., and Fred Moore, of Oakley, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Lola Pointer, of Benicia, Calif; a sister, Marie Krigsheuser, of Karnak, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, Calif., with interment to follow. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson.
