MATTHEWS -- Edward Doyle "Ed" McClain, 50, of Matthews, died Tuesday, June 28, 1994, at his home.

He was born Sept. 5, 1943, in Matthews, son of Wilmer and Velda Finley McClain.

McClain was a farm hand for Chris Matthews.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynn McClain of St. Louis; his mother of Matthews; two brothers, Clarence McClain of Malden, Danny McClain of Capitol Heights, Md.; three sisters, Anita Cox of San Antonio, Texas, Doris Davidson of Canalou, Janice Burnes of New Madrid, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and brother.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Home in Sikeston after 5 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Keith Atchley officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
