Edward C. Walker, 99, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1993, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Oct. 4, 1894, in Zalma, son of William Amos and Nettie Vance Walker. He and Grace Elizabeth Wagner were married Nov. 4, 1916, at Zalma. She died Nov. 2, 1976.

Walker was employed 36 years at Marquette Cement Co. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Men's Club, and United Lime and Gypsum Workers Union.

Survivors include three sons, Paul E. Walker of Cape Girardeau, William Walker of Paso Robles, Calif., Charles Walker of Livermore, Calif.; four daughters, Frieda Whiteside of Clearwater, Fla., Elizabeth Hurson of Emmaus, Pa., Bonnie Ringwald of Ballwin, Virginia Forsyth of Paso Robles; a brother, Louis Walker of Vernon, Ala.; a sister, Clara Statler of Greenbrier; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Steven MacDougall will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. today.
